Zinc Carbon Battery

A zinc-carbon Battery or dry cell is packaged in a zinc can that serves as both a Container and anode. It was developed from the wet Leclanch cell. The cathode is a mixture of manganese Dioxide and Carbon Powder. The electrolyte is a paste of zinc Chloride and Ammonium Chloride dissolved in Water. Zinc Carbon Battery is the least expensive Primary Battery. It has been adopted in many areas, such as Flashlight Battery, Toy Battery, or Watch Battery, as the power Drain is not too heavy.
